Sandhya - Bench - Medium

A seat for two, and the conversation between them.

Some evenings belong to just two people. A cup of chai in each hand, the light turning gold outside, and a conversation that drifts from the day’s news to old stories neither of them tires of telling. In the homes we grew up in, these were the moments that stayed.

Sandhya Medium carries the same form that began Baithak, scaled for close company. A single sandcast line rises at each end and folds back over itself, the way an open palm turns upward to offer someone a seat. Its rainbow brass antique finish brings warmth to the hammered surface, and the slub-weave cotton seat invites you to settle in.

Like all living things, Sandhya evolves with time. Its finish gradually develops a character of its own, shaped by age, light and every evening spent on it, so the bench becomes more personal with each passing year.

At 106 centimetres long, it holds two people side by side and fits easily into an entryway, a bedroom or a quiet corner of the veranda. Each piece is made to order in Moradabad.

This is a bench for the conversations worth having twice.

For projects

Sandhya Medium suits hotel suites, boutique lobbies and restaurant waiting areas where space calls for seating with presence at a smaller scale. It is available for hospitality and design projects on enquiry.

1. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.
2. Avoid abrasive cleaners, and keep the piece away from direct heat.
3. Images may vary slightly from the actual product in form and colour because of screen and device settings.
